Commandment One
Today, the majority of engaged couples pay for their own wedding. And if you're one of them, I will tell you that it's very easy to get into trouble if you don't budget wisely. The idea is to spend only what you can afford--and not go into debt. Being in debt is no way to begin married life.

Commandment Two

Educate yourself. The more you know about the vendors, goods and services you'll need, the better off you'll be. No one will pull the wool over your eyes. Study all the books and information you can find. My first book, FOR THE BRIDE, is an excellent resource and thoroughly discusses all facets of wedding planning, in depth, first step to last.
